Fall 2025 - In Session
Executive Director of Training Mr. Edmund Aczon- Campus Visit's to Open Fall 2025 & LMS Launch on Big Island

Fall 2025: Campus Visits In Kona and Hilo with the Executive Director of Apprenticeship

On August 2, 2025, we welcomed the opening of Fall 2025 Apprenticeship Training on campus with a visit from Training Director of Apprenticeship Mr. Edmund Aczon on both campuses here on the Big Island.

Director Aczon who frequents the neighboring island campuses, visited classrooms with Big Island Apprenticeship and shared the launch of LMS (Leaning Management System) that instructors and apprentices alike will implement statewide, as we transition into the dissolving of printed books, and LMS taking the forefront of training the next generation of Union Carpenters, Drywall Interior System Installers and Millwrights, statewide.

The ultimate benefit to what this means for the future of our Union Carpenters is the opportunity to accelerated learning, as technology is incorporated on the jobsites throughout the United States, marketing our skilled craftsmen to potential contractors that are also utilizing technology on their jobsites.

Mr. Aczon continues to search for the best alternatives that will cushion the daily task of apprentices making studying and working Monday through Friday an enjoyable experience. Learn while you Earn!

With upcoming neighboring island vists in the upcoming weeks, Mr. Aczon is traveling to share the good news of IPads being utilized by our Apprenticeship in the classrooms.

Mr. Aczon & The HCATF Staff wishes you all a safe and productive semester!
